DMARC is an email authentication standard that helps protect your domain from spoofing, phishing, and other forms of email abuse. It works by allowing domain owners to publish a policy in DNS that tells receiving mail servers how to handle messages that fail authentication checks based on SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail).
When properly configured, DMARC ensures that only authorized mail sources can send messages using your domain. It also provides aggregate and failure reports, giving you visibility into who is sending mail on behalf of your domain, how it’s being authenticated, and where potential misconfigurations or unauthorized activity may occur.
